Events

Kenosha Robo Crew coordinates VEX IQ Robotics Competitions for students and teams around Southeast Wisconsin. These events provide an opportunity for students to receive feedback on how their robot performs, communicate and work with students from other teams, problem-solve in a fast paced environment, and even qualify for the Wisconsin Region Championship Tournament!

Kenosha Robo Crew VEX IQ Robotics Competition League

A League is an extended competition that takes place over the course of a competition season. This league, hosted by the Robo Crew, runs from November - February on Monday evenings. There are 5 Ranking Sessions (where teams participate in qualification matches in order to earn a ranking) and a Finals Session (where teams compete with their assigned alliance partner). The league competition provides them with the opportunity to qualify for the Wisconsin Region Championship event, as the top 2 alliances at the Finals Sessions qualify for that event. Skills Challenge is also available at each session, but no judging. Please note that a separate waiver is required for participation.

Kenosha Robo Crew VEX IQ Robotics Competition Tournament

A Tournament is an event that takes place all at once. The Kenosha Robo Crew Tournament takes place at Trinity Lutheran School in Caledonia, Wisconsin on February 1, 2025. During this event, each team will receive a minimum of 8 qualification matches to determine placement for the final round. The Final Round determines a team's overall placement within the tournament, but is not the only way to achieve a Wisconsin Region Qualification Spot. Judging also takes place at this event, meaning that teams can qualify through other awards, such as Excellence, Design, and Innovate Awards. To prepare for judging, students must complete an engineering notebook, where they focus on documentation of the design process which they use throughout the competition season. This is an all-day tournament and concessions will be available. Please note that a separate waiver is required for participation.
